Poem

Poetry belongs in a room all alone
Poets under the bed
And poems the very minute they're written
Should be locked in a dresser unread.

wrote this one as a kid. thought I'd throw it in the mix.

Thanks, Lukas, I do underestimate myself in terms of poetry. I have favorite poets, but somewhere back there I believed somebody when they told me I didn't know a thing about poetry. I believe it was a teacher. If you've ever been kicked in the emotional-learning shins, thank a teacher.

anyone who needs to get something out, or share something, or just likes wasting paper should be a poet. it's just not a respected art form anymore...you have to be dead to get recognition...and i really am far too impatient for that....hence the singing (which according to the john, i don't do enough(he also claims he's never heard me sing...whaddabunchamalarky)) and guitar playing. and if teacher's kick you in the emotional shins, kick them back...and harder. or, call me and i'll do it for you...i'm good at kicking;)
